for over fifteen years. It has to be seen to be appreciated.
Lying, as it does, in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country, there are
lots of centres of interest. Have a look at Ordnance Survey Sheet 87 to get
an idea of the number of Roman Forts in the vicinity.
Naturally there are walks along Hadrian’s Wall (or the Roman Wall as
it is known in the north east).
